At DIGS we offer a multitude of services, including video guides, pastoral support and great facilities to help you make the most of your time in Huddersfield and at the university. We also provide all the comforts we can to help you settle in and feel at home.
Huddersfield is a great place to live and with over 1000 international students, the University of Huddersfield is a diverse and multicultural place to study.
The town is situated between Leeds and Manchester, meaning that you are never far from a big city and the opportunity to travel home. It is one of the largest towns in the UK and has plenty of events and activities through out the year for outside of study time.

Can I apply from overseas?
As all DIGS applications are completed online, it is easy to apply from your home country. Please click here to make an application for accommodation. If you want to see how to apply, please look here for a step by step guide.
How do I pay?
As an international student, you will be required to pay for your accommodation fees in full, prior to your arrival (unless you are an EU student). You can pay over the phone, by bank transfer or by cheque, whichever method suits you.
What does the price include?
The rental price includes your room, utility bills, broadband (with free IPTV, including international channels) and contents insurance. There are no hidden extras.
How can I view a room?
We have online virtual tours showing you what the accommodation looks like. Click the 'Your Video' tab on the left hand side.
Who will I be sharing with?
It is up to you. There are plenty of options available on the online application. If you wish to add any specific notes you can do this also on the application page. To view your universities international page please click here.
